- If the Curt E16 5th Wheel Hitch w R16 Roller for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C16667 fits better without the shims between the roller and the bed of the truck feel free to not use them. We had another customer come back and report the same thing and their solution was to not use them. They didn't have a problem at all.
Most likely you have a thick spray-in bedliner which is taking up the space the shims normally use.
